Our logo has adorned our shirts for years but has anyone really thought why we chose the ionic column for our Greek Festival?

This may be a little bit of fantasy on my part but I like to think it is because we know that the Ionic column though just as Structurally Strong as the simple Doric columns that predate them they are way more ornate and require way more work to make them beautiful, not just functional. Like the great food and sweets available at the Festival we not only focus on Taste( ask anyone, it’s great) but also on how things look. You notice the way the amber honey and orange of the Baklava shines just before you snap it up is one of many examples of how we can blend beauty and function, just like the Classic Ionic Column.
While at the Festival Be sure to check out the Silent Auction, The bookstore, of course, the food, but don’t forget the Vendors we have items from everywhere all for you to see and grab all right here in Spartanburg.
There will be plenty of Dancing presentations by the Kids and lots of music so you can try it yourself!! OPA!!
Another trivia fact that you can impress your kids with… “Oops I did it again!” is as close of an English translation of Opa! as exists… so yeah the Greeks did that first too.
